We usually find that the shop gets busy with children coming in for school shoes around mid-August.
If you would prefer to visit during a quieter time, you are very welcome to visit in July and early August.
We hold a wide range of stock so you can find a style you love.
We have carefully selected well-known, quality footwear brands, including Start-Rite, Clarks, Ricosta, Petasil, Skechers, Geox, Bobux and Kickers.
Girls’ school shoe sizes range from 6½ to an adult 10, with width fittings from D to H.
Boys’ school shoe sizes range from a small 7 to an adult 15, with width fittings from E to H.

We always recommend visiting early during the summer holidays rather than leaving it until August. This gives you the best choice of sizes and styles and avoids the busiest fitting period.

How often should children’s feet be measured?
Children’s feet grow quickly, often in sudden bursts. We recommend regular fitting checks throughout the year, especially before a new school term begins.
What if my child’s current school shoes still fit?
We’ll tell you. If your child’s shoes still fit correctly and comfortably, we won’t sell you another pair. Our priority is proper fitting, not unnecessary selling.
Do you fit first school shoes as well?
Yes — we fit both first school shoes and first walkers, helping younger children get the right support, flexibility and comfort from the very beginning.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes — there is easy parking directly opposite the shop, making visits simple for families, fittings and busy back-to-school shopping.
Can I book an appointment?
We offer fitting appointments during busy periods, particularly for the back-to-school season. Please contact the shop to check availability.
