How we use your information
W.J French & Son Ltd never make your personal details available to any other company for marketing purposes. W.J French & Son Ltd may hold your personal details in order to process your order and maintain your account for research purposes.
Use and storage of data
If you have registered with us, or ordered items from us, we will have your email address, telephone number, postal address and the method you chose to make your purchase with.
We do not store any payment details. Once you have given us your payment details we will use them for the transaction they have been given for and that transaction only.
If you have registered to receive emails from W.J French & Son Ltd, you can remove your email address from the list at any time by using the links in the emails that are sent to you. We will never make your personal details available to other companies for marketing purposes.
To prevent any unauthorised persons accessing your data, it is protected throughout the payment process. We use PayPoint to process all our payments which is certified to the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Your personal and payment details are captured online using industry-standard technology, which encrypts all information to make it secure.
Access to your data
On your written request, we will (within 40 days of such a request being received by us) supply to you details of the personal information which we hold about you. You must explain to us clearly the information you require to be supplied: we are not obliged to supply to you information which is not specifically requested by you. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, we are entitled to charge you £10.00 for the provision of information following our receipt of such a request. Once we have received your written request and payment of the fee, we will respond to your request within 40 days.
You should note that, under certain circumstances, we will not be obliged to disclose the requested information to you, in which case we will explain to you the reasons for our refusal.
