Shipping & Returns

UK Mainland excluding Highlands and Islands
Orders can be picked up at our retail premises, please select "Pickup in store" at checkout. We will also offer free local delivery where the order value is in excess of £15. Local delivery is free within 3 miles of SO15 2DG. Please contact us first if you are in any doubt.
Current shipping charges for shipping within the UK Mainland are £4.95.

Scotland - Islands and Highlands

Delivery Schedule
Products purchased will normally be made within 5 working days of us receiving your order. Please note working days are defined as Monday to Friday and excludes all public holidays. If you wish your order to be left at an alternative address please provide a separate delivery address.
All EU orders dispatched by us can take between 5 to 7 days for delivery dependant on destination.

Delivery Disclaimer
All orders shipped will have Proof of Postage obtained by us. This will be deemed the end of our responsibility for the shipping of all orders. Where orders are traceable, we will endeavor to offer all assistance in supporting you in tracing an item or claiming for loss or late delivery.

Returns

ALL RETURNS ARE AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE EXCEPT WHERE YOUR PURCHASE IS DEEMED FAULTY.

Returns must be RECEIVED at W.J. French and Son within 7 days of receipt by yourself. We will refund the purchase price of the product returned. We will not refund the cost of shipping to you but will refund the cost of returns to us. All items must be un-opened and un-used and be in a re-saleable condition and accompanied by a valid receipt.

Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of receipt by us. We recommend that you return your purchase to us using a reputable carrier such as Parcel Force. Faulty items returned to us will have the postage refunded in full, only where the fault did not occur in transit (where the carrier is liable).

Damage in Transit

In the unlikely event of damage being caused to your order while in transit, we must be notified in writing (via email) within 3 days of receipt of the delivery. It is our policy to replace the damaged item, except where a replacement cannot be obtained. In this case we will offer you either a full refund or a credit note for the equivalent. All our products are fully insured by the carrier and any damaged items must be retained by the customer while an insurance claim is processed, but not for a period in excess of 90 days. We may at our absolute discretion request proof of the damage.

Your right to cancel

You can cancel and withdraw from your order at any point prior to dispatch of your order. Please contact us before canceling to ensure your order has not been shipped. Cancellation may only be given in writing by e-mail.
